The British tabloid "News of the World" published this authentic photo of the Olympic gold medalist getting mellow a few months after the games. I saw it on espn.com. Poor guy, he's going to get hell from his agent/PR people and threats of pulling sponsorship (doubt any will follow through) all because he's a typical American young adult. He's clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed (international celebrity athlete hitting the bong at a house party, yikes). I'm not advocating the cheeb, just saying it's not exactly shocking when you think about it. Just stupid.
On the up-side, I'm sure he's opened up a new fanbase for himself.

Poor Mikey Phelps.
Being a normal young adult is totally going to ruin his rep. I heard about this on the radio and heard his formal public apology. But seriously, imagine this guys lung capacity? Clearing that thing must be 'ain't no thang but a chicken wang.'
