sure i loved "my little pony" as much as the next girl, but...

so...the first song comes on and you're thinking, "okay so maybe this was done in the early 90's, riding the wave of my little pony's success and all, they worked it into some school play or something." then, "defying gravity" starts up, and you just throw your hands in the air because you realize this was actually recorded in 2007! it is absolutely baffling. and, ok, maybe a little bit entertaining.

I've been scouring the interwebs for some music in French to get my ear accustomed to the language for the 101 class I'm taking. Came across this video. The members of Phoenix are French, but they sing in English. So their music helps none. Actually it helps keep me up past my bedtime. (I keep finding other versions of their newest songs that I like better than the ones on the album, wtf.)

p.s. I love the sisters on the bus who seem to be excited but restraining their enthusiasm. How am I supposed to sleep?
