plus, I'll get to live with Sammy

He can dance.

Moving!

90% sure. A really cool girl I know from school needs a roommate exactly when I'm being booted out of my place. So, in a couple months I think I'm moving into her place in Hipsterville, USA. I haven't received confirmation from her, so that's where the 10% comes in.

I'm excited. I was set on South Pasadena or somewhere a little more off the map, but I could do this too. I do have hipster-tendencies, but I'm too self-conscious and too poor to be a true hipster. I think it could work.

kicking ass and taking names, it's time

I collect a wide variety of images on the internet. Mostly for a wide variety of inspirational purposes. Plus they're free, easy to store, easy to move, and I can enjoy them wherever there's electricity. Been flipping through my album titled "My spirit" and came across this one. Sure they're schoolgirls, but they're very strong, even bad ass, I think. And, you know, I do have this in me. It's been laying dormant for a bit, been bracing for change, but I'm trying to reawaken this aspect of myself. Talking to some of my girls tonight, I think the change is coming sooner than we expected. Time to woman-up. Hold me accountable. Thanks.

p.s. I'll do the same for you (just ask). We'll kick ass and take names together (and Jay-z's "run this town" will play in the background. Ha!). Lord help us.

p.p.s. I want a blazer with a crest on it.

I work at Chotchke's, so where the hell is my Ron Livingston?

Actually, forget the dreamy nerdboy, just get me out of there! I've been looking for work elsewhere and it's DEPRESSING! The job market blows. The one job I really wanted (and was actually qualified for) never called or anything. The [nameless non-profit] can be so heartless. Maybe now is not the time for a new job since I might be moving soon, but, seriously, do you see this video? It is no surprise people have been known to burn or otherwise mutilate their uniforms after quitting this place.

p.s. I must admit that the restaurant biz is screaming to be worked into a musical. We can talk about it over drinks if you like. I've given it more thought than I should freely admit. If I knew anything about music I would write "Waitress: The Musical" and it'd be a hit.

p.p.s. If you hear of any jobs for a tutor, teacher, entry-level grant-writer, or even another waitressing gig at some higher end type place, PUHLEASE let me know.

Everybody loves a good gypsy story

My friend Corey has a great blog on Tumblr featuring (mostly) his photography and some other people's photography and some videos, stories, what-have-you. He recently went to Spain with an art class at Biola (in the story, this explains the no-alcohol, and though there is dancing, the students do not partake). Here's his story about almost getting mugged (and murdered!) by gypsies. Hilarious.
